Summarizing the life of someone in a few lines is never an exercise that seems relevant to me, and even more so when the person is Henri Cartier
Bresson, one of the most important photographers of the 20th century. Meanwhile in the frame of this BAAG, it seems interesting to me to reconstruct the man, and to make the reference points that can be perceived like keys to understanding his art. I could have also taken the role of not saying anything, and to let you discover, or rediscover his marvelous photos that surpass commentary… Henri Cartier Bresson born the 22 of August, 1908 in Chanteloup-en-Brie and died the 3 August of 2004 in Monjustin. He is considered as one of the pioneers of photojournalism, intimately linked to art photography. The artist lived close to 96 years and will cross the 20th century, like a witness enchanted by the things he saw in life.
